Ganesh Himal Trek -19 Days

Day 1 Salangkhu Khola 3 walking hrs

We drive to Trisuli and stop for lunch. After lunch we take an easy walk to Salangkhu Khola and camp.

Day 2 Balche Village 5 1/2 walking hrs

We continue previous day's easy walk and climb to Kalawale village for lunch. After lunch we walk through the villages to a big Tamang village and camp.

Day 3 Gonga 5 walking hrs

We continue with an easy walk through a forest to Gonga and camp. There are magnificent views of the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Gosaikunda.

Day 4 Singla 6 walking hrs

We walk through pine and rhododendron forests to camp at Rupkchet or Singla. Rupkchet is a cattle pasture and Singla is a pass. We have good views of Langtang Lirung and Gosaikund peak from here. We have fabulous views from Singla pass- Langtang Lirung, Bandhu peak, Himal Chuli , Ganesh Himal, Machhapuchre, Annapurna south and Annapurna II.

Day 5

Rest day at Singla for hiking around the pass to enjoy the magnificent views of Himalayas.

Day 6 Pangsung 5 walking hrs

We ascend Singla hill to Jogeworkund following small trails. We camp at Pangsung, from where you can get good views of the Himalayas.

Day 7 Shomthang 5 walking hrs

We continue along the trail along the ridge and camp at Shomthang, from where you see great views of Ganesh Himal.

Day 8 Jogesworkund 4 walking hrs

After a gradual climb to Jogesworkund lake, we camp.

Day 9 Rest Day

People interested in climbing peaks and rocks above 5000m can do so.

Day 10 Linju Khola 5 walking hrs

We descend to Linju Khola where we camp.

Day 11 Serthung Village 7 walking hrs

After walking down through pine and rhododendron forests to Serthung village where we camp. There you find good views of mountains all around.

Day 12 Laba 7 walking hrs

We walk along a short flat trail, gradually ascending to Barang village. We cross Akhu Khola and eventually reach Laba, a big Tamang village where we camp.

Day 13 Mongeythanti 6 walking hrs

We have a slight climb to cross a hill and then descend through forests to camp at Mongeythanti.

Day 14 Dumchet Village 5 walking hrs

We continue a gradual walk down through forests. We lunch near a stream and camp at Dumchet village.

Day 15 Budhi Gandaki 5 walking hrs

We continue a gradual walk down to Baseri and camp near the Budi Gandaki river.

Day 16 Arughat Village 4 1/2 walking hrs

We walk along the bank of Budi Gandaki river and stop at Arughat village and camp. There are tea shops and a police post here.

Day 17 Khonchowk Danda 7 walking hrs

After waling down to Khonchowk Danda and crossing Mukti Khola, we camp.

Day 18 Gorkha 7 walking hrs

We cross a ridge and walk down to Gorkha. We camp near the old palace.

Day 19

On this day, sightseeing in the morning - see the Gorkha palace and bazaar-then drive back to Kathmandu.
